Currency ETFs
There are several dozen currency and fx exchange traded funds available in the US. The majority of these currency exchange traded funds are single currency ETFs but there are several basket-type currency ETFs. In addition, besides the long exposure that most single currency etfs offer, there are several inverse or short currency etfs that give negative exposure to a single currency. These inverse etfs are available particularly for the most popular fx pairs against the USD such as the Euro and Japanese Yen. Below are the main groupings of foreign exchange traded funds:
